RESPONSABILITATI

A position of Solution Architect specialized in online systems is currently opened within the Global Network Services (GNS) department. This position mostly requires people with a good technical expertise that would like to accept new challenges by applying their creativity and their knowledge to the success of the Online project. This person will have as a mandate to deliver a complete solution for the infrastructure of a project in collaboration with the Infrastructure Specialists (Technical Architects). This person could be involved to work with teams around the globe on massive project such as MMO, design of infrastructure for in-house online solutions and very large web game.

The Global Network Services intervenes in all Ubisoft???s projects
- All Online projects with games site, Match Making, Xbox Live, MMO;
- Worldwide connectivity (VPN, FW, Internet connection, local loop, Dark Fiber, 10 GB);
- Storage and backup, reporting, management tools;
- EDI, DW, BI and ERP environments;
- Render farms, management and monitoring tools.

Major responsibilities:
- To search for the best solutions that answers to business needs;
- To elaborate the design and documentation of the infrastructure of different systems and environments in collaboration with the Infrastructure Specialists;
- To ensure that the solution implementation respects the defined architecture;
- To understand how the operational teams relate to the projects;
- To establish business standards;
-To ensure a long term vision of online solutions and environment;
- To select vendors and write purchase plans of kept solutions;
- To make periodically follow-up on the progress of projects.

The ideal candidate has a 10 years minimum of relevant experience in IT as well as a minimum of 4 years in a similar position. We are looking for an autonomous, structured, responsible, motivated and dynamic person who wishes to join an experienced and ambitious team that is passionate about technologies. The challenges that await you are of size and they are many. While centralizing the management of the administration of the world network of the company, GNS must support the strong growth of Ubisoft. You will have to work on many projects supported by the most recent technology.

Qualifications and technical skills
- Excellent knowledge of Wide Web Environments;
- Excellent knowledge of client server, three tier and multi-tier architectures;
- Excellent knowledge of the fundamental workings of the Internet;
- Good knowledge of APACHE and IIS;
-Good knowledge on server technologies under Windows and Linux; Good knowledge on MySQL and MSSQL;
- Good knowledge on network technologies such as DNS, DHCP, LDAP, SMTP, TCP/IP, routing, switching and other network protocols;
- Knowledge on programming lexicon like PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby, Java.

General criteria
- Degree in computer sciences or certificate plus equivalent experience;
- Bilingual (oral and written);
- Customer service oriented;
- Capability to work under pressure and to solve complex problems;
- Concepts of project management.
