- For one of our clients, one of the main internet services providers on the Romanian market, we are looking for a NOC Engineer.
- Providing support in the operation of Company's growing network;
- Supporting Company's internal application groups by troubleshooting service-impacting issues;
- Monitoring system stability and performance;
- Delivering statistics and analyses of the networks in EU;
- Ensuring 24x7 operations;
- Acting as an externally-facing point of contact to facilitate handling of problem reports, and maintaining relations with network peers and vendors;
- Acting as an internally-facing point of contact to escalate technical issues, and communicating network status.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent work in an IT related field;
- Previous experience with enterprise/IT level network infrastructure and/or ISP network operations center/tier 1 support;
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals (including Layers 2 - 7 content switching);
- Ability to work well independently and on a team;
- Good troubleshooting skills;
- Experience with standard network change management and configuration policies;
- Unix/Linux administration experience;
- Experience with Cisco or Foundry Switches;
- Experience and flexibility regarding on-call responsibilities;
- Creative problem solving abilities;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Network routing protocol (MRP/OSPF/BGP)knowledge;
- Availability to travel abroad.
- Experience with Cacti/MRTG and SNMPc;
Network certifications such as - CCNP/JNCIA/JNCIP (or equivalent training/experience).
