RESPONSABILITATI

Role:

The Support Engineer Level 1 provides first level support for the specified network within the Network Management Center.

The position is expected to assist the Network Management Center in meeting all agreed SLA metrics as contracted and to minimize service impacts to customers through strict compliance with backup, notification and escalation processes.


Main Responsibilities:

- Proactively monitoring customer networks via the use of company’s network tools
- Taking calls from customers
- Taking immediate corrective action to restore services
- Driving resolution through third parties such as carriers & maintenance teams
- Maintaining customer communications during the problem resolution
- Escalating issues in accordance with company’s procedures
- Conducting regular testing of networks and services in accordance with company’s processes.


CERINTE

The ideal candidate should have Field Engineer degree with WAN and Telecom knowledge together with a high level of customer focus and motivation.

Education
- Student (at least 2nd year) or Graduate
- CCNA minimum, CCNP/CCIP preferred.
- Working towards further certification.

Abilities
- Comfortable with Cisco IOS and XDI.
- Able to troubleshoot on various Cisco router platforms from C837s to C7200s.
- Able to troubleshoot on various Cisco switches platforms from C2950s to C6500s.
- Able to navigate CCO effectively and utilize the online resources available to resolve an issue.
- Understands basic Microsoft Windows networking.
- Understands basic Linux/Unix networking
- Ability to comprehend complex issues quickly

Technical Knowledge (basic to medium level)
- MPLS, ASDL, ISDN, PPP, POS, Frame Relay, HDLC,
- FastEthernet/GigabitEthernet, IP,
- GRE tunnels, BGP, EIGRP, DHCP, HSRP, VLANs, Trunking, QoS,
- ACLs/CBAC/IPS, VoIP (preferred).

Foreign Languages:
French: proficient
English: good
This position involves contact with native French speakers on a daily basis; the candidates must have very good communication skills in French (verbal and written).
