- Investigate and solve requests from employees
(through Help Desk Dispatchers and other Service Desk channels) related to hardware and software issues with minimal business impact on the Customer within agreed service levels and business priorities;
- Document cases for each incident, follow up case status;
- Support all company users in related IT issues;
- Administrative work for IS Department needs;
- Install new computer hardware and software accordingly to standard procedures and test their functionality according to operational procedures;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Work with users and vendors to resolve technical support issues.
- Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science/IT field or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and 5 years related experience;
- Experienced in Windows 2003/2000/XP operating system and Windows 2003/2000/XP IT infrastructures ;
- Knowledge of networking hardware (routers, switches etc);
- Basic knowledge of WAN networks and their applicable usage;
- Performance tuning;
- Comfortable with all aspects of system administration ( system installation and configuration, system security, installing third party software, system troubleshooting);
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting;
- Basic understanding of the voice systems;
- Writting/refining installation and support manuals, procedures and processes for new services;
- Basic knowledge or exposure to project management methodologies;
- Strong organizational, verbal and writting communication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills and primary business languages are English and Romanian;
- Ability to understand project/task objectives and see through to full completion without supervision;
- Ability and motivation to learn new technologies quickly;
- Professional experience and working knowledge of engineering and construction industry desired;
- Must be able to travel internationally occasionally.
