Job scope:
You will be involved in the development of METRO Group in-house software solutions
Main responsibilities:
- Developing software modules according to technical specifications
- Creating test units, debugging
- Maintenance of the current applications in the Store Automation Systems
- Participate in execution and documentation of tests necessary to ensure that an application or technical environment meets performance requirements
- Maintain a close relationship with the client in order to understand its needs and translate into proposed processes and solutions.
- Join the actual team in Bucharest, working in cooperation with the German team
Education:
- University degree in a technical field
Professional experience:
- Good experience in software development
Abilities & Competencies:
- .NET development, C# or VB.NET
- Good knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL
- Database programming experience, Oracle and/or SQL Server
- Web services, XML, XSLT
- Windows XP and office products
- Solution and action orientation;
- Strong organization, time management and task prioritization skills;
- Good communication skills, ability to work with teams from different locations
- Fluency in English, both speaking and writing;
- Unix/Linux scripting, Barcode technologies, C/C++ is a plus
