RESPONSABILITATI

Under the supervision of the Deputy Resident Representative and the overall guidance of the Resident Representative, the Programme Analyst is responsible for management of UNDP programme within the socio-economic area. The Programme Analyst analyzes political, social and economic trends and leads formulation, management and evaluation of programme activities within his/her portfolio, provides policy advice services. The Programme Analyst establishes Socio-economic Cluster Work Plan and is accountable for its implementation by advising, guiding and providing on the job/learning opportunities to ensure high level performance;

The Programme Analyst supervises and leads programme support staff, coordinates activities of the projects’ staff. The Programme Analyst works in close collaboration with the operations team, programme staff in other UN Agencies, UNDP HQs staff and Government officials, technical advisors and experts, multi-lateral and bi-lateral donors and civil society ensuring successful UNDP programme implementation. The incumbent will have responsibility for mobilizing all resources required for programme/project implementation.

Summary of Key Functions:
 Implementation of programme strategies
 Manage the implementation of the programme portfolio in area of socio-economic to ensure compliance with set targets (substantive and financial)
 Creation of strategic partnerships and implementation of the resource mobilization strategy
 Provision of top quality policy advice services to the Government and facilitation of knowledge building and management
 Participation in, or coordination of cross-unit tasks (e.g. corporate reporting), as assigned by senior management.
