Verita International School of Bucharest is looking to hire a Music Teacher for Primary School.
Main responsibilities:
- teach knowledge and skills associated with vocal and instrumental music, as well as a general understanding of music appreciation and music harmony
- teach the children to use their voices expressively and creatively by singing songs and speaking chants and rhymes
- play instruments musically
- experiment with, create, select and combine sounds using the interrelated dimensions of music
- plan the music program and organize class time so preparation, rehearsal, and instruction can be accomplished within the allotted class time
- plan performances with music and performance skills necessary for a performance/chorus
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certified Music Teaching credentials
- At least 2 years experience in teaching music to primary grades
- Piano literate
- Advanced verbal and written English skills

- A basic understanding of how children develop and learn
- Flexibility and creativity
- Team work - The ability to work as part of a team
- Patience and a sense of humor
- The ability to manage groups of children and cope with challenging behaviour
Working hours: depending on the schedule, this can be either a part - time or a full - time position.
