Technical Consultants provide critical knowledge to an implementation by understanding the technical requirements and tools necessary to implement, upgrade, administer, and extend specific applications. Successful technical consultants need training specific to their areas of responsibility so they have a complete grasp of the specific technology essentials. It is critical that the training contains topics to support ongoing system administration and requirements.
An intensive learning path approach gives the consultant the foundation of knowledge needed to begin working on an implementation project immediately.
The Technical Consultant participates on implementation teams delivering Logicode product development business solutions to complex customer requirements. The Technical Consultant should be knowledgeable in the execution of assigned project tasks including installation and configuration of Logicode, customization, GUI development, testing, debugging, data migration, system software, communications components, middleware, development tools and deployment support. In addition, person should have understanding of OO programming languages, knowledge of relational database systems and web technologies. Excellent written and oral communications is a must as the Technical Consultant participates in the design and documentation of technical architecture and produces written specifications (ie: Systems Description Documents and Use Case Documents) to capture business process requirements for Logicode solutions. Additionally, a significant amount of time is spent working with the customer in developing the best practices for leveraging the Logicode system to accomplish their product development tasks.
- Provide day-to-day technical support for Logicode Technical and Sales staff. Also provide support and assistance to customers, when necessary.
- Occasional co-ordination, preparation and delivery of technical presentations and product demonstrations (may be off-site)
- Participate in sales cycle activities including: evaluation planning, coordination and support of customer/prospect evaluation process, preparation of needs analysis and proposal.
- Provide technical support for sales including product specifications and technical follow-up on products and applications.
- Participate in trade shows, seminars, and exhibitions directly
- Ensure product and solution knowledge pertinent to Logicode sourced products and associated solutions are kept up to date.
- Training classes and actively work with the sales and technical team, to maintain knowledge levels.
- Liaises with Technical team members to feedback useful technical information for the field.
- Work with the Logicode management team for developing and updating Service offerings.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, or similar
- Work experience in the IT field
- Deep technical IT awareness
- Must be outgoing and naturally pro-active in developing relationships and making value-add contact with all appropriate people within company..
- Has to be able to clearly and accurately convey information, knowledge and ideas to all levels of both Sales and Technical people. This includes thorough one-on -one conversation and formal training classes.
- Must be able to work independently away from office, but be continuously focused on company goals and objectives.
- Must have a desire to keep up-to-date on product and solution knowledge. Needs to maintain high levels of value add through a motivation to learn.
- Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and other OS (Desirable)!
