Hi, we're mReady! We're a work hard - party hard team that in the past 2 years has become one of the leaders in mobile app development in Romania. We breathe, eat, live, design and develop mobile apps. We work on end to end application development directly with end clients, in an agile and collaborative environment.
We’re 100% independent so we have the liberty to undertake whatever projects seem fun and challenging. ;)
We’re currently looking for someone willing to work alongside our (one person) design department, who’d love to learn how to design great looking and easy to use apps for both Android and iOS mobile devices. Our Senior Mobile App Designer is eager to share all the (relevant) secrets with one lucky girl or guy.
Our development environment includes Pencil&Paper 2.0, Whiteboard, Behance Action Journal, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects. We also like Trello, Dropbox, Slack… and Blizzard games.
Your Tasks & What You’ll be Learning:
- learn how to design a kick-ass mobile app from the ground up
- learn about the building blocks typical patterns of Android & iOS mobile design
- learn about the differences between Android and iOS design
- learn to transform sketches into wireframes and wireframes into high fidelity mockups
- learn how to deliver graphical assets to the dev team
- learn how to create detailed design specs for the dev team
- put all acquired skills to use alongside the design department.
Essential Skills:
- experience in using Photoshop when creating design mockups
- good understanding of composition and color theory
- good understanding of consistency principles in graphic design
- good verbal and written communication skills in both Romanian and English
- passion for transforming design limitations into advantages
Nice to Haves:
- good understanding of Typography
- some understanding of general UX principles
- some experience prototyping with either web tools or paper / cardboard
- knows who Jared Spool, Don Norman and Paul Boag are and what they do ;)
- has heard of Acquisitions Incorporated
