The Information Technology Department of Ubisoft Romania is looking for a Microsoft Systems Administrator responsible for the health and operations of our Windows platform and server products. The main focus will be on operational activities, proactive capacity management and event monitoring. He will also contribute to the execution of various projects and will act as a second level support for the Microsoft systems under his responsibility (including 7/24 pager support).
Your tasks
Responsible for the proper daily operations of the Microsoft systems under his responsibility, such as Active Directory, IIS, SCCM and/or SCOM;
Install, maintain and upgrade Microsoft server hardware and software;
Monitor system events to ensure health, maximum system availability and service quality;
Participate to the backups and restoration of Microsoft systems;
Advanced troubleshooting of emergency situations on the network, must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as required;
Perform system & application patching and upgrade of equipment firmware;
Maintain documentation regarding configurations, operations and troubleshooting procedures related to the Microsoft platform;
Participate to the definition of standards, guidelines, best practices and metrics as directed;
Assist in evaluating new requirements, technical design and standards;
Answer user’s query and service requests.
Your profile
Essential skills:
Good knowledge of Internet technologies and concepts such as DNS, routing protocols, TCP and UDP and higher level protocols such as HTTP, SMTP and FTP
Good knowledge of Windows 2008 Server and Active Directory
Good Knowledge of IIS and SharePoint
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
Familiar with SMS and/or SUS and/or MOM and with how to manage servers in various ways (RDP, MMC, NetSH, and other command-line, etc.)
General knowledge of Cisco network equipment, routers, switches and Linux
Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
Desirable personal skills:
Skills in developing techniques and methodologies to resolve unprecedented problems or situations.
