MECHANICAL ENGINEER - located in Aberdeen, Scotland, UK

RESPONSABILITATI

You will be required to undertake mechanical engineering and piping design within a multi-disciplinary team on projects associated with oil and gas pipelines, treatment plants, gathering and transmission systems, gas compression, metering and pressure reduction stations, crude oil and multi-product (white oil) pumping and metering stations, storage and distribution facilities.
Undertake detailed mechanical design and engineering including, but not limited to the preparation of pump and compressor sizing calculations, pipe pressure loss calculations, pipeline sizing calculations, piping stress analyses, firewater demand analyses, etc.
Prepare reports, specifications, data sheets and technical requisitions as necessary to fully define the design requirements and equipment and services required.
Provide technical direction and supervision to engineering design/CAD personnel in the preparation of process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, piping and equipment layouts, installation details, equipment and valve schedules, line lists and material MTOs.
Review vendor documentation and incorporate mechanical details within the design.
Survey existing installations to facilitate the design and integration of additions.
Carry out inspections/witness testing of equipment at vendors¿ works.
