For one of our clients, one of Europe’s leading remediation contractors specialized in sediments, soil and groundwater treatment, we are looking for a Market Development Manager..
Our client is the water treatment arm of a leading multinational Belgium-based construction company. The company is specialized in waste & drink water-purification plants for municipalities, sludge-treatment, bio energies, pump houses.
The Market Development Manager Romania is responsible for the start-up, development and project management of the water purification activities in Romania and possibly in the region.
Responsibilities:
Identifying new business opportunities: assisting in creating the strategy, the business plan, and the commercial approach;
Coordinating the integration of the Tendering Engineering team (Belgium and local);
Looking for local partners and subcontractors;
Evaluating the option for local material purchasing;
Have technical discussion with the customer: making the first technical suggestions;
Building up the public relations with the customer;
Dealing with the normal contractual relationships and other practical issues in construction (in close cooperation with HQ);
Assessing the risks of projects;
Discussing with political and administrative bodies.
Industrial or civil engineer;
Experienced process or project engineer (minimum 5 years);
Good electro mechanics knowledge ;
Affinity with technology in general and interested in acquiring knowledge on water treatment techniques and technologies;
Specialization in water treatment is a strong plus;
Good commercial experiences based on strong technical competences;
Good legal and contractual knowledge;
General knowledge on civil works is a strong plus
Experience in tendering processes for public markets is a strong plus;
