Our client is a diverse, international development consulting group with a multi-office international presence. As a consequence of growth an opportunity has arisen for an individual to join as Managing Director of one of the group of companies in Romania.
PURPOSE: The purpose of the position is to provide leadership and direction in order to sustain the company’s profitability and growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer service:
- Ensures a strong customer focused culture is maintained in a challenging deadline driven environment
Development:
- Develops and implements strategic business plans
- Identifies commercial business development opportunities in the socio economic and technical services markets and develops strong business development proposals in response to tender documents
- As a member of the senior management team, will represent the company when attending government ministries
Financial:
- Achieves challenging growth objectives and targets
- Prepares yearly and monthly revenue budgets in conjunction with the Finance Director
Human Resources:
- Through personal behaviour and actions, encourages an organisational climate of initiative; ensures employees receive the positive feedback and empowerment necessary to fulfill their job through regular communications
Education:
- Degree in a relevant Business discipline
Experience:
- Experience in the Business Development arena, preferably in the consultancy sector with experience in bid preparation
- Experience in providing consultancy services under Romanian Government procurement rules
- International aid funding experience desirable
Required Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Romanian
- Good knowledge of mergers and acquisitions
- Good problem solving skills and negotiating skills
- Good knowledge of customer service management and project management
