Our client is a global management and accounting outsourcing firm, one of the world¿s largest in the field. The ideal candidate must have very good knowledge of Romanian accounting standards, IFRS, Romanian taxation, transfer pricing, Romanian commercial law and experience in management reporting. ACCA student or qualified member would be an advantage. You will have good communication skills, presentation skills, persuasiveness, ability to coordinate, motivate and influence people, ability to set priorities and follow up task completion, ability to delegate tasks and monitor the results, ability to work under pressure, flexibility in terms of working hours, attention to details. You must be proactive and dynamic.
The Accounting Department Manager responsibilities mainly refer to the following fields:
-Review report-management and statutory reports;
-Client liaison;
-Relationship with state authorities on any tax issues, such as tax audits, VAT, reimbursements;
-Ensuring that unclear legislative issues are sorted out by drafting addresses to the Tax authorities;
-Reviewing the accounts prepared in accordance with Romanian Accounting Standards, IAS, US or UK GAAP;
-Briefing junior staff by clearly setting out requirements, efficiently communicates status of work(standards of work, reporting, deadlines);
-Contributes (personally and by managing junior staff) to the team to enable objectives and deadlines to be met;
-Ensures appropriate staff allocation (spare capacity has to be communicated to other client team members);
-Innovation (uses technical and industry knowledge to spot and suggest ideas to team by making full use of prior experience and by tailoring existing solutions to meet different needs);
-Networking (develops an internal and external network);
-Risk management;
-Development of self and others;
