This person will be responsible for the z/OS capacity planning and performance issue resolution for Perot's clients as well as the shared parallel sysplex environments. Additionally, the mainframe planner will be responsible for proactively alerting the appropriate people to the needs of changing requirements for resources. This person should have experience in SAS, CA-MICS, MXG, z/OS subsystems, SCP, and operational experience.
This person must also have experience in tuning and debugging performance problems for z/OS systems including application workloads. This person should be able to establish and use of z/OS controls, but not limited to the Workload Manager component of z/OS. This person should be well versed in storage capacity planning and configuration and should have good familiarity with typical z/OS application performance analysis. This person will help develop the processes and procedures to be used in the capacity planning and performance analysis service provided to clients running on a z/OS platform. This person must be capable of documenting the results of their analysis in a form that is presentable as a highly professional offering. They must also be excellent communicators to the rest of the team as well as to clients.
Technical University graduate
Mainframe Capacity Planning for a large z/OS environments including LPAR environments
Z/OS Performance Analysis using various tools such as IBM's RMF, SMF, subsystem analysis tools
SAS, CA-MICS and MXG experience.
Microsoft Office skills.
Experience in delivering projects on-time and meeting aggressive deliverable dates.
Experience delivering Capacity and performance reporting to account and customer leadership.
Strong analytical skills.
Proficient in Business English
