The Linux System Engineer supervises and organizes monitoring activities over all the systems which he is in charge to ensure its availability and performance. Is providing support on the systems during the projects, or maintenance activities.
Responsibilities:
·Administration of Linux servers – physical and virtual machines
·Administration of VMware vSphere infrastructure and storage systems
·Monitor and troubleshoot systems availability and performance
·Job scheduling, writing automation scripts
·Provide support Level2 for the systems in charge
·Perform disaster recovery operations
·Manage the licensing of server software
·Write and maintain systems documentation and processes
·Provide periodically KPI and capacity reports for the systems in charge
·min 3 years of working experience in Linux systems administration
·Experience with administration of virtual infrastructure
·Experience with scripting languages (bash)
·Good knowledge of server hardware and storage systems
·Good knowledge of networking LAN/WAN
·High-level troubleshooting and problem solving skills
·English language (verbal and written)
·Ability to multitask and handle multiple assignments, projects
