Responsibilities:
• Ensure all systems are proactively monitored
•Troubleshoot and solve problems
•Support various LINUX-based services to ensure maximum uptime
•Assist in the creation and refinement of operational documentation
•Use your expertise to back up your fellow team members
•Analyze performance trends across a variety of systems for capacity planning
•Handle day-to-day system administration tasks like account management, backup, patching, application deployment, system installations, and other routine maintenance
•Participate in 24x7 on-call phone rotation
Required Skills
•Previous hands-on experience in Linux
•Knowledge of key protocols including TCP/IP, SSH, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, HTTP and LDAP
•Ability to write scripts in Perl or Bourne (bash)
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, English knowledge
Additional Desirable Skills
• Experience with MySQL databases
