The company was founded in 2004 and has its headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. The main purpose of language analysis is to assist in asylum cases by providing a tool for authorities to determine an applicant’s background. We predict an increase in our workload, and in order to manage this change, Verified intends to expand by opening an office in Romania.
Role description:
As a linguist your main responsibility will consist of conducting language analyses in collaboration with our trained analysts. You will also carry out research and linguistic experiments in the area of dialectology, as well as refine and develop Verified’s linguistic database. Linguists are also expected to participate in internal seminars and workshops.
• Master’s degree in Phonetics or (General) Linguistics
• Fluency in English, spoken and written; ability to express yourself in academic English
• Knowledge of additional foreign languages, in particular languages originating from Asia or Africa, is considered an advantage
• Studies in forensic phonetics/linguistics are considered an advantage
