MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: To deliver licence analysis and consultancy services for software and IT asset management to our range of customers.
MAIN TASKS OF JOB:
• Perform license and contract data analysis for agreed publishers/vendors and products
• Generate Effective License Position (ELP) reports from unprocessed consumption, contract and entitlement data
• Produce reconciliation status, risk analysis, compliance statements, exception, readiness and optimisation reports for agreed publishers and products, for customers, based on the licence position data provided
• Perform data analysis and troubleshooting to ensure that data reaches the required quality standards, and work collaboratively both with the internal team and external customers to validate data quality and resolve any data issues identified
• Advanced or proficient operator usage of software asset repositories, including; import and input of data, analysis and troubleshooting of the data and occasional software recognition and licence modelling
• Review and be able to understand vendor contracts, entitlement and dependencies and ensure that entitlement data is correctly entered and represented in the internal software, including linked contracts, upgrades and downgrades, subscription, support and maintenance contracts
• Answering, logging and escalating incoming licensing enquiries
• Managing, researching and closing allocated licensing desk requests to the customer’s satisfaction.
• 5+ years of working in the licensing industry
• Experience and knowledge of licensing metrics, agreements and contracts, for one or more of the most known vendors
• High standards of business communication
• Pro-active and able to operate pro-actively and with initiative
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS
• Worked for or with large software/solution vendors
• Prior experience of producing Effective License Positions, or been involved in their production
• Experience of dealing with large (10,000+ seats) and potentially quite complex end-client organisations
• Able to travel internationally, potentially for several weeks at a time.
