A Senior Test Automation Engineer/ Project Manager is sought to work closely with our customer base to discuss and understand requirements and create test automation scripts from test case requirements.
The base location will be Ixia’s offices in Bucharest, Romania. You may be required to travel on company business and may be located where a project is running for extended periods.
The candidate must have strong Networking and Protocols knowledge. Have worked in an R&D Test or Systems Integration and Test environment. Posess a proven ability to code a test harness in TCL. Created a library of reuseable procedures and implemented software engineering processes for development and documentation. You should be highly organised and possess a keen analytical and structured approach to problem solving and testing.
Lead, Design, Develop & Execute test scripts to cover functional, scalability, performance, system testing and characterisation for L2 thru L7 technologies using Ixia Test Equipment and Applications.
Work closely with the customer in understanding requirements, identifying a strategy for meeting the customers needs, problem identification, analysis and recreation
Perform test script design, bulk automation and test execution
Provide analysis of test results
- Overall; 4+ years networking industry experience
- Project Leadership Skills including project management.
- Hands on Experience on testing different Routing and MPLS protocols such as: OSPF, ISIS, BGP, RIP, MPLS, Layer3 VPN, Layer2 VPN, LDP, RSVP, IP Multicast, IPv6 protocols.
- Deep experience using Ixia test equipment and applications for test case automation: IxTclHAL, IxOS, IxNetwork, IxLoad, IxExplorer
- Experience working with customers in a professional services capacity desirable
- Solid Configuration & troubleshooting knowledge of different routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP, RIP, MPLS, LDP, RSVP-TE) in Cisco, Juniper and other router and switch devices.
- Strong QA Skills on bug isolation, bug report writing and troubleshooting.
- Can promote and support best practice test development.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Personable, Confident Team Player, Customer Focused.
- Ability to take the initiative and think through courses of action
- Degree qualified in a Science based subject and/or equivalent industry experience in the Data/Telecoms market.
