Job Purpose:
Complete physical layout of memory products. Drawing devices per engineering instructions, running Design Rule Check (DRC) and Layout versus Schematic (LVS) checks, making plots and completing documentation.
Job description:
Design team member who is an active participate in layout design of serial EEPROM products.
- Perform layout of Serial EEPROMs and other product using Cadence tools.
- Perform chip level layout integration. Provide layout plots to design engineer to ensure robustness and compliance to electrical specs.
- Perform verification of layout adherence to design rules, and Layout-vs-Schematic checks
- Occasional travel to the US for short periods.
Degree in Electronics, Automatics or Electrical Engineering.
Should have min. 3 year experience in layout of CMOS logic, analog circuits, and chip-level products.
Should have good knowledge of English and good communication skills.
Memory / high voltage / analog layout experience or knowledge is a plus.

Microchip opened the R&D Center located in Bucharest in April 2006 and has been constantly expanding it.
