Perform a variety of technical duties to ensure system and network functionality.
Main responsibilities:
- process incoming requests for assistance from internal users
- perform daily activities to identify system issues on Windows XP and 2003 platforms
- troubleshoot common network related problems
Qualifications and skills:
- university degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- good English communication skills
- at least 1 year of relevant experience
- advanced understanding of Microsoft Windows XP/2003 Server and Microsoft Office 2003 (configuration, maintenance, working experience and troubleshooting)
- knowledge of antivirus and firewall software, e-mail client configuration
- good knowledge of Ethernet and wireless technologies, client-server environment, protocols (HTTP, SMTP, DHCP) and proficiency in identifying and resolving connectivity issues
- good knowledge of network concepts (OSI model, TCP/IP) and structured cabling design and implementation
