Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
You will get the chance to participate in various stages of design and development of CodeWarrior™ Embedded tools. Depending on your knowledge and preference, you can become part of the team developing today’s and tomorrow’s compiler, debugger, platform simulator, performance analysis, putting everything together, or offering application support. The job involves software design, development, testing and maintenance of the various modules and interaction with technical support.
The successful candidate would have Windows and/or Linux applications development experience and have a track record of quickly learning and grasping new technologies.
This position will operate at the direction of a technical lead/mentor, as the career develops eventually operating autonomously within his/her assigned technology area.
- University degree (or student in a terminal year), preferable in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electronics
- Very good knowledge with C/C++
- Knowledge of operating systems fundamentals, multiprocess / multithreaded applications
- Team spirit, able to cooperate and learn from technical experts
- Good English command
Some of the following skills would bring an advantage:
- Knowledge of Embedded Systems
- Knowledge of Eclipse framework is a big plus; Java/JUnit/SWT
- Knowledge of Real Time Operating Systems
- Knowledge of a scripting programming language (such as TCL, Perl), version control systems (such as CVS)
- Familiar with multiple platforms (Windows, Linux, Solaris)
