Missions
You will be working on various projects for the Engineering Studio. A non-exhaustive list of projects includes:
- Intranet database tools (ASP.NET/PHP websites for internal Ubisoft usage)
- Game customization (Customize Logos/In game videos, menus and other game elements for Ubisoft partners)
- Game Installer (Game Packaging and Copy Protection implementation)
- Games compilation (Creating special DVDs containing different games on the same disc, or “Gold” versions with several editions of the same game on the same disc e.g. Heroes of Might and Magic Complete)
- Game tools (Hardware Detection tools, Game Editors helping development teams create our games of the future)
- Game localization (Create new builds for games in different languages)
- Many more ….
Computer skills
- Relational Databases:
Relational Database knowledge. Previous practical RDBMS experience is a Plus
- Languages:
C/C++ elements. Web Technologies experience is a plus (PHP/ASP.NET)
- Other Skills:
General knowledge of Image File formats/Sound File formats/Movie File formats
General knowledge of Windows OS internals (Registry/OS Files and Folders structure/Tweaks)
Microsoft Office
- Other desirable computer skills:
Knowledge of general game structure and game files on different platforms as well as burning/copy tools and protections
Graphics editing software
Microsoft Visual Studio .net (2003/2005/2008)
.NET Framework 1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5
Microsoft Foundation Classes
Other skills
- Strong communication skills (daily contact with subsidiaries abroad is an important part of the job)
- Rigorous, well organized
- Fluent in English, French is a definite plus
- Ability to work as a team member as well as autonomously
- Ability to take initiatives
- A passion for games and the gaming industry
- Willingness to learn and grow constantly, ability to use both official documentation and various Web resources as learning tools.
