Specific activities . . .
. . . Propose and document high level solution design
. . . Participate in meetings with project team on solution issues
. . . Fully comply with 1&1 development standards and processes.
. . . If needed, evaluate 3rd party providers to be used in the solution
. . . Create new backend / frontend code using javascript.
. . . 3+ years of experience in software engineering
. . . Good knowledge of JavaScript including state of the art implementation paradigms (Progressive Enhancement, Unobtrusive JavaScript, Graceful Degradation)
. . . Excellent knowledge of JavaScript libraries like jQuery, Dojo, ExtJS and standards like commonJS
. . . Good knowledge of Internet technologies, browser runtime environments& modern web application development
. . . Experience with web technologies like CSS, HTML5, XHTML, XML
. . . Solid OOP knowledge
. . . A good knowledge of the DOM and know how to handle it
. . . Communication Frameworks/Technologies: XML-RPC, SOAP, JSON, REST, XHR
. . . Hands on experience in Source Control and related tools: SVN, git
. . . Experience with automated build and deploy: Maven, ANT, jake
. . . Performance Tuning & Optimization
