We are searching for a colleague for the following position:
JavaScript enthusiast for the universal qooxdoo framework
in our Bucharest team.
qooxdoo is a universal JavaScript framework that enables you to create applications for a wide range of platforms. With its object-oriented programming model you build rich, interactive applications (RIAs), native-like apps for mobile devices, traditional web applications or even applications to run outside the browser. The framework is used in a wide range of applications within the company which use it as their base.
What would you do?
. . . work on a powerful, fully object oriented level.
. . . improve the qooxdoo framework.
. . . become a part of the qooxdoo competence center that supports colleagues in developing state-of-the-art web applications.
. . . help in mastering large-scale, feature-rich JavaScript applications.
. . . join a great team that works on the forefront of modern web technologies.
. . . become an active member and supporter of the qooxdoo open-source community.
And, most of all, you will be a part of our young and dynamic team
If you have/are
. . . minimum of 2 years experience with JavaScript.
. . . experienced with modern web application development.
. . . experienced with other JavaScript libraries / frameworks.
. . . experienced with web communication mechanisms like XHR.
. . . a good knowledge of the DOM and know how to handle it.
. . . experience with HTML and CSS.
. . . had a hard time debugging in different browsers.
. . . good ability to understand, write and speak English.
. . . experience and desire to contribute to a well known open-source project.
. . . a good sense of high quality code.
Would be a plus:
. . . the qooxdoo framework.
. . . a native GUI technology like Qt or SWT.
. . . Flex, Silverlight or some other web technology.
. . . Python or any other script language.
. . . REST and RPC.
. . . HTML5 and CSS3.
. . . writing unit and Selenium tests.
. . . tools like SVN, git and Bugzilla.
