As a Developer you will:
- Develop and write the required code for the Live Guide project, our live chat solution
- Collaborate with team members and occasionally with other people outside the team in order to ensure that the project meets the required quality standards
- Document code consistently throughout the development process
- Respond promptly and professionally to bug reports
- Review and repair legacy code
- Contribute and identify needed documentation (instructional and technical specification)
- Proactively work to improve processes/coding standards and knows when to challenge change, where there may be a better way of doing something, or if it was against site policy/guidelines
- Use SCRUM as the framework for the internal process
Experience and technical requirements:
- Relevant work experience: 3 years+
- Experience with Javascript is mandatory(back-end related)
- Experience with nodeJS is a big plus
- Experience with WebSockets is a big plus
- Experienced in working with automated tests and load tests is a big plus
- Experienced with large web scalable systems that have high traffic is a big plus
- Knowledge of web technologies (PHP, MySQL, HTML5/CSS)
- Experience with media servers is a plus
- Experience with Jenkins is a plus
