Key Responsibilities:
Participate in definition of new software product features and software interfaces;
Design and develop web application backend on linux using proven Java frameworks and technologies;
Write unit and integration tests, within automated test environments to ensure code quality;
Use of shell scripting (e.g. – Tcl/Perl/Python) to facilitate development and automated testing;
Participate in design and code review, as well as help other developers resolve technical problems.
Position Requirements:
Strong Java/JEE and Object Oriented software design/development skills required;
Must have working experience with web backend application development;
Must have experience in full lifecycle software development;
Must be adept with dev tools & processes including JDE, revision control, and defect tracking;
Experience with any of the followings : Jetty, Eclipse, Maven, Jersey JAX-RX, Guice, PostgreSQL JDBC, ZeroMQ, JNI is a plus;
Experience with JUnit and Mockito frameworks is desirable;
Experience in C/C++ application development under linux is a plus;
Exposure to Agile development processes is a plus;
Excellent verbal/written communication skills in English;
Ideal candidate will have a BS/MS degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science with at least 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
