Our client is a canadian multinational company, world-leading supplier of identification and border management software systems.
The successful candidate will be part of ID Systems software development team located in Romania. The successful candidate will be responsible with the development of software applications - part of the custom Identification software systems - assigned by the Software Development Team Leader. This position requires involvement in all activities related to systems development, including analysis of requirements, preparation of functional specifications, design and implementation.
Responsibilities will include:
· Writing design documents and functional specifications
· Participating in design and code reviews
· Developing and unit testing new software
· Debugging and fixing bugs during the stabilization and system support stage of the software
· Performance tuning
· Installation and configuration of system components (hardware and software)
· Travel to customer sites globally to train system operators following deployment.
·Knowledge of object-oriented concepts
·Experience in developing software systems or products is a plus
·2+ years of experience with Java Web development (Servlets, JSP, custom tags), JDBC and Java tools (ant, JUnit)
·2+ years experience in object oriented analysis and design
·Knowledge of Struts and/or Hibernate frameworks is a plus
·Knowledge of SQL;
·Knowledge of C++ and Visual C++ programming will be considered an asset
