The candidate will be responsible for conducting code review activities, and verification of the conformance of the code produced to the company’s and/or the project’s coding standards. The candidate should be able to set-up and conduct code review activities, to follow-up the actions raised, report to the Technical Leader and/or the Project Manager the issues raised and propose corrective actions.
The candidate must have:
- strong technical skills on Java/JEE technologies, with solid development experience, during which he/she was involved in code review activities or mentoring other members of a team. Knowledge of widely used frameworks like Spring, Struts, Hibernate will be consider an asset;
- deep knowledge of development practices, code optimization, best practices for Java and JEE development
- significant experience with development methodologies
- at least 5 years of relevant experience
- a strong command of English, as all documentation and communication will be done in English.
Besides the technical requirements, the ideal candidate:
- must be self motivated as this person will have to be able to analyze applications developed in different technologies, using different standards and have different quality requirements
- must be able to propose improvements in the development process, tools and techniques to help in providing better code quality and/or increasing productivity.
