What would you do?
You will. . .
... have the opportunity to contribute to design and architectural decision for a very challenging application: a real time search engine for two of the largest web portals in Europe.
... be dealing with a huge amount of data: over 7 TB of data that must be daily indexed and available for search; thousands of new entries per second and a total size of several PentaBytes.
... 5-10+yrs core Java development;
... serverside Java expertise (5+yrs);
... interested in new technologies;
... experience with Java Message Service (JMS);
... experience with working in a Linux environment;
... experience with developing distributed and scalable software;
... good ability to speak and understand English.
Would be a plus...
... Professional experience with Hadoop, Map Reduce, or Hbase;
... Professional experience with Lucene/Solr;
... Expericence with Cassandra
... Familiar with agile development methodology.
