On behalf of our client, world leader in development and distribution of CAD like software, we are searching for an Applications Engineer that will:
... work with the Technical Team Lead to implement and maintain a portion of the application code for the flagship product of the company. Key responsibilities include:
• Writing SQL and database update code;
• Writing workflow rules;
• Creating and modifying client application user interfaces (HTML, XML, XSL, JavaScript);
• Creating unit tests and test data for the applications;
• Testing the applications;
• Responding to escalated questions from QA on the application;
• Fixing bugs;
• Fluency in written English;
• Strong technical background and problem solving skills;
• Web application experience (HTML, Java Script, SQL);
• Experience with a programming language, especially Java;
• Willingness to take on new challenges;
• Excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written);
• Exceptional critical thinking with a high level of motivation to learn;
• Proven ability to take ownership of projects and responsibilities;
• Ability to communicate effectively with product teams and general engineering staff; ability to build positive relationships across the organization;
• Strong ability to successfully manage concurrent deliverables on time and with quality within fast-paced environment and under deadlines;
• Experience in XML/XSL a plus;
• Familiarity with AutoCAD a plus;
• Previous Experience in Real Estate, Facility Management, Finance, or Higher Education industries a plus;
• This position requires as B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering and/or 1 to 3 years of equivalent professional experience;
• Candidate must be a team player;
