The position is temporary with the possibility of becoming permanent after a few months
We will expect you to:
* Be a passionate practitioner of Agile development methodologies
* Work in an team to build a scalable and secure service;
* Perform development tasks, including design & architecture, coding and troubleshooting software and provide guidance to the rest of the team members
* Interact with product management to refine feature requirements and write feature specifications
* Collaborate closely with the other team members to ensure the product meets the required quality and performance standards
* Deploy new releases and ensure production stability
* If required, collaborate with other functional groups or teams to ensure project success
* 3+ years of industry experience;
* a B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent;
* Extensive knowledge and experience with JEE, Spring and Hibernate;
* Excellent knowledge of at least one RDBMS (Oracle is preferred);
* Sound knowledge and understanding of object oriented concepts, design patterns and web application architectures;
* Experience testing software using unit tests and integration tests;
* Good written and verbal communication skills;
* Proficient in English;
It’s a perfect match if you also have:
* Experience with Ruby on Rails is a huge plus
* Experience with jBoss
* Experience with GlassFish, Apache Geronimo, Tomcat
* Knowledge of client side technologies (Flex, ActionScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery)
