Java Developer in charge of support and evolutive maintenance) of business-critical applications of large Swiss and US enterprises. The Support engineer is responsible for multiple clients and multiple projects, so time management and strong multi-tasking skills are key.

Required Skills:
- Experience in Java Software development and support
- Knowledge of multiple technologies, including some of: J2EE (EJB, Servlets, JSP, JMS, Struts, Hibernate, Spring, AJAX, Tag libraries); PHP; Javascript; SQL; Web Services (SOAP, REST); Databases (SQL, mySQL, Postgres, Oracle); Source Control (SVN/CVS/Rational); Open Source technologies (JBoss, MySQL, Apache, LAMP, RedHat, SuSE, Alfresco)
- A deep understanding of OO design principles to support large-scale custom and assembled enterprise applications
- Extensive experience with debugging, reuse, source code management strategies (e.g. forking, branching), and release management
- Very good analytical skills
- Good at multi-tasking and switching between different projects and technologies in the same time span in order to accommodate potential concurrent demands
- Successful experience collaborating and working with Designers, IAs, Front-End Developers and Technologists to achieve the best balance between user needs, enterprise requirements and technology constraints

Project activity:
- Support and maintenance of web and enterprise content management applications installed in our key clients base in Europe and US. Key clients include large telco companies & state organizations, media and publishing.
- Good opportunities to also liaise with key partners (e.g. Alfresco, JBoss).
- Some flexibility regarding traveling is required (mostly at the initiation phase to get into the client contexts and learn the content of the applications).
- The activity will comprise support tasks but also implementation of evolutions. The concerned applications build on some of the newest technologies, mostly in the open source field. The candidate will be required to ramp up in those technologies and then keep up to date with them.
- The support and maintenance will mostly be done remotely but local interventions are not to exclude.

The support activity will take place mostly during business hours, but the candidate should be willing to also perform support during evenings or week-end should this be required (with appropriate compensation). Excellent communication skills are required, notably in English but also in French. The candidate should also have very strong analytical skills, good organization skills and attention to details
