Work with the customer's team to develop software modules; involvement ranging from architectural specification and design phase to actual application development; writing, modifying, and debugging software, using source debuggers and visual development environments.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Full lifecycle application development
- Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis
- Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates
- Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents
- Perform designing and coding to written technical specifications
- Investigate, analyze, debug and document reported defects
- Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects
- Create, document, and implement unit tests
- Perform related duties as assigned
- Demonstrable previous J2EE software development experience of more than 3 years
- Very good knowledge of Websphere Application Server
- Very good knowledge of Web 2.0 Technologies, AJAX, DOJO
- Very good knowledge of SQL / JDBC
- Use software configuration management (SCM) tools; knowledge of Eclipse, Rational Software Architect or Rational Application Developer
- Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents
- Ability to code software according to published standards and design guidelines
