The Application Developer designs, develops and supports application solutions to meet customer requirements. He/she may design, develop and/or re-engineer highly complex application components, and integrate software packages, programs and reusable objects residing on multiple platforms.
The Application Developer is responsible for performing the following tasks:
- Develop technical specifications
- Translate business - IT requirements
- Interpret data models
- Use application development methodology and tools
- Use application strategies for maintenance
- Use full life cycle system development processes
- Use programming languages
- Use software configuration management (SCM) tools
- at least 1 year experience with Servlets, JSP, JDBC, HTML, Javascript
- knowledge of Struts, Spring, O/R Mappers
- good communication skills
- good problem determination and escalation skills
- general knowledge of English/French/German/Italian
- further language training in French, German in Italian is provided
