To assist in the preparation of test plans / scenarios and test scripts for the testing of software programs;
To ensure high quality and accuracy is maintained through to software release;
To prepare and maintain test plans for use on manual testing and automated testing tools;
To prepare a test plan and test scripts to test each software component and demonstrate the business condition under test and the expected results;
To provide feedback to the development team and ensure the work is carried out in accordance with the schedule and the quality requirements;
To provide estimates and feedback to the Testing Coordinator and IT Project Manager for project scheduling purposes;
To work close together with business analysts (internal and external parties), users, release manager and developers;
To keep up to date with standards and requirements of software quality assurance as stipulated by software testing authorities
At least 1 year experience in testing in an administrative environment (preferably financial sector);
Thorough knowledge of structured test methods and processes;
Proven experience of testing complex user interfaces;
Detailed knowledge of both Manual and Automated Testing;
Experience of testing using an automated test tool such as TestComplete;
Experience of testing Windows Software Applications / Database applications produced using VB, C#, .NET, SQL Server;
T-SQL (basic), TestComplete (optional);
Excellent English (speaking/presenting, writing and reading);
Well developed analytical skills;
Good written and oral communication skills;
Good report writing skills;
University degree in Informatics, Economics or Engineering.
