Responsible for delivery of the assigned projects, ensuring that the goals and objectives specified for the corresponding projects are accomplished in accordance with priorities, time limitations or other specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Manages medium sized and larger projects that involve one or more operational departments.
- Coordinates across departments the requirements capture, develop project deliverable, assigns task resources and monitors project status.
- Ensures the right evaluation of the complexity of projects by correctly assessing the period of time and resources needed to complete the requirement.
- Ensures the resource planning by evaluating the number of people and their qualification necessary for the team jobs requirements
- Managing the overall schedule to ensure work is assigned and completed on time and within budget.
- Identifying, tracking, managing and resolving project issues.
- Proactively disseminating project information to all stakeholders.
- Identifying, managing and mitigating project risk.
- Ensuring that the solution is of acceptable quality.
- Proactively managing scope to ensure that only what was agreed to is delivered, unless changes are approved through scope management.
- Prepare periodic reports, progress, status or other special reports for management.
- Ensure that the team receives the appropriate training.
- Evaluate project effectiveness by developing and implementing improved methods; analyze results and takes proper action based on outcome etc
- University degree in IT and / or economics.
- Additional education in Project Management will be a plus.
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience in project management, preferably in a financial institution.
- Experienced in managing budgets.
- Wide experience in larger project organizations.
- Detailed knowledge of at least one project management method and global knowledge of other project management methods.
- Solid knowledge of IT development methods and IT process.
- Knowledge of processes within financial institutions.
- Fluent in English
