... support our team with the administration of our Cloud-infrastructure, consisting of roundabout 500 Linux servers
... Aside of administration, you take part in the planning and supervision of projects of your team and are thus involved in strategic decision-making processes
... be responsible for the smooth operation of our systems, planning and implementation of software updates as well as regular inspections of the system health using monitoring and statistic tools.
...analyze and solve technical problems
And, most of all, you will be a part of our young and dynamic team.
If you have:
... a University degree in computer sciences or an equivalent professional training
... several years of hands-on experience as Linux system administrator of complex system environments
... solid knowledge of the administration of web-applications like Apache, Tomcat, mod_jk and their integration with MySQL databases, preferably in high-availability environments
... detailed knowledge of common network protocols and -technologies, e.g. TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, routing, VLAN, IPVS
... programming in scripting languages like Bash and Python present no obstacle to you. Experience in the usage of statistical and monitoring tools like Cacti or Nagios are a plus.
Would be a plus:
... experience in an environment characterized by ITIL and terms like Change Management are not foreign to you.
... your work is structured and self-organized as well as targeted and creative. You are service and customer oriented. ... you are able to quickly comprehend complex issues and possess an analytical way of thinking.
