* Provide second level support service, troubleshooting and resolution for Fault/Failures and Service Requests made by our customers through the call logging system
* Provide general administrative support to the various teams (but mainly to remote locations) executing the IT process together with any associated & resultant activities in order to help support Misys products / engineers
* Enforce incident, change management and other compliance processes
* Maintain appropriate documentation and inventory for the IT environments you are dealing with
* Specify order, assemble and install hardware. Install and configure operating system software plus third-party system tools, database systems, applications and products
* Perform software upgrades and new software installation both pro-actively and in response to requests from users of systems, including any necessary patches to operating systems and applications to ensure continuing stable and secure operation
* Implement appropriate data access and security measures, including access control, audit, backup/restore and system rebuild & recovery processes, in order to safeguard data integrity and maximize availability
* Working with the IT team leader, implement & test Business Continuity measures in order to enable continued operations of computer systems identified as requiring such protection in accordance with the corporate Disaster Recovery program.
* Senior Windows OS and MS Office knowledge
* Good Windows architecture knowledge (Including AD infrastructure)
* Good LAN Design and management (wiring, IP and networking topology)
* Good Knowledge of Dell Desktop hardware
* Entry level knowledge of Dell and HP server hardware
* Entry level scripting knowledge (Windows batch, Perl, PowerShell, etc)
* Understanding of Virtualization
* Understanding of Video Conferencing
* Understanding of VoIP setup and infrastructure
* Nice to have knowledge of: MS Exchange, Citrix, MS IIS, WAN Design and management
* Experience: 2-4 years of working with similar requirements and responsibilities
* Works well under pressure
* Self-motivated, goal and customer-oriented
* Good communication skills with the ability to deal with users at all levels in an organization
