- Install the Database orientated computer software products on Windows/Unix/Linux environments
- Ensure databases availability, consistency, security, and performance for related business
- Perform database monitoring, security, tuning and troubleshooting operations relating the installed instances
- Implements the various configurations required by the supplier and internal clients into the database and ensure that program requirements and systems specifications are followed closely
- Conducts test for the data base design, prepare systems documentation and troubleshoot any problems that may arise, in order to ensure that the flexibility of the application/platform is captured and that the specified architectural specifications set out for the database are met
- Ensure maximum performance and uptime, configure and maintain highly scalable database environments
- Suggest improvements to infrastructure systems, create and maintain the documentation of the systems under the department's management
- University degree in computer science, telecommunications or technical relate
- Minimum 2 years in administering large size database implementations
- High level knowledge of database systems and architectures (MS SQL and Oracle), Good knowledge operating systems, preferably Windows, Linux and HP-UX
- Advanced understanding of security and replication technologies, applications and processes, solid understanding of IT infrastructure components (servers, storage, network, SAN)
