- Acquire a full and overall understanding of the core banking application
- Use internal standard systems development lifecycle processes
- Understand technical and functional design requirements
- Design physical and logical database
- Design, code, and test technical solutions
- Identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions
- Assist in enforcement of development deadlines and schedules
- Understand the necessity of and contribute to coding standards
- Develop / Change an application only based on an approved application form or change request document
- Promote the new developments in the production system following the internal procedures
- Create technical specifications for all developments
- Accurately use our development tools
- Listen to others and accept input from team members
- Accurately prepare written business correspondence that is coherent, correct, effective, professional and engaging
- Shares acquired skills with team members through formal and informal channels
- Encourages more junior employees to take responsibility for their development within the company
- Make user trainings for IT related topics as requested by Team leader Applications Development
- Take input from supervisor and appropriately and accurately apply comments/feedback
- Create status reports for the superior
- At least University degree in a Computer Science, Telecommunications or other analytical University
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a similar position - AS400 administration, network administration, software development
- Previous work experience with at least one relational database management system
- Understand advanced relational database concepts
- Demonstrate proficiency with physical and logical database design
- Write effective programs and functions
- Demonstrate proficiency in at least one structured programming language
- AS400 management
