DESCRIEREA FIRMEI

Habitat for Humanity (HFH) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization, open to all religions and ethnicities, that builds, rehabilitates and renovates simple, decent and affordable homes for (and together with) families in great need of shelter and decent housing, thus helping them to break the vicious circle of poverty and given them the possibility to raise children in a healthy environment. Working to help families in need is done through more than 2,100 branches of HFH across 92 countries, including Romania. Since it¿¿¿s inception Habitat in the late 1970s has built over 300,000 homes worldwide.

HFH was brought to Romania in 1996 and now has 12 program locations throughout the country. It has been tackling the extreme housing crisis in poverty challenged localities but also in the case of marginalized communities and by responding to the huge natural disasters that struck the country in the past years. A total of over 1,600 families were assisted in improving their living conditions, thus restoring their lives in dignity and economical sustainability.
