RESPONSABILITATI

Provide technical support of several internet systems
Reporting to EMEA IT Technical Support

JOB PURPOSE:
¿ Manage day to day tasks and prioritize workload for Junior technical support.
¿ Ensure that all support calls are logged using RoyalBlue helpdesk, monitored and closed to agreed Service levels.
¿ Assist in functional and UA testing of VIPS (Versatile Internet Production System) application code
¿ Code migration between development environments as required
¿ Provide backup to SQL Database administrator
¿ Provide day to day support for VIPS application
¿ Provide day to day support for KPI application
¿ Provide day to day support for Harlow FTP application
¿ Problem solving operational issues, bug reporting
¿ Provide support for automation department
¿ Promote user confidence in using the system

General

¿ Provide day to day technical support for EMEA Internet applications
¿ Ensure support calls are correctly logged, monitored and closed
¿ Provide support for automation department
¿ Support global roll-out of application to overseas locations
¿ Provide back-up function to SQL DBA

Specific

¿ Prioritize and schedule day to day support items
¿ Create and agree SLA¿s for VIPS, KPI & Spec support within EMEA region
¿ Identify cause of operational issues
¿ Monitor VIPS, KPI & Spec error e-mails and action as required
¿ Rectify operational issues where possible or escalate as required
¿ Ensure items are logged to the Helpdesk provide audit trail and future knowledgebase
¿ Use of Query Analyser Enterprise Manager Profiler tools to perform data analysis
¿ Use of Visual Interdev IDE to perform application debugging
¿ Assist in data copying functions using DTS package to move data between environments
¿ Provide telephone training and support as required
¿ Reviewing System Procedures & Documentation
¿ Assist in functional and UA testing of VIPS application code
¿ Migrate code between environments as required
