Our client, manufactures and markets consumer-branded automotive products for the aftermarket consumer, as well as for automotive equipment manufacturers and installers, with household brand. With revenues of $4.5 Billion, our client is a leader in automotive product research, development, engineering, and manufacturing technology for turbochargers, filters, spark plugs, brake pads and car care products.
For this client we are seeking an Internal Controls Analyst for the Bucharest location. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist TS Manager of Internal Controls (located in Danbury, CT) in developing a strong business controls environment by performing financial and controls audits and training throughout the organization. More specifically, this role will:
• Work with Corporate Controller's Group and Site Controllers to assess and complete Sarbanes-Oxley documentation and testing,
• Assist Corporate Controller's Group and Brand Finance Leaders in conducting Site by Site internal financial audits and in monitoring changes in company policies and procedures, as well as accounting and auditing standards;
• Develop action plans to expeditiously react to control deficiencies identified as part of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, internal financial audits as well as by Internal Audit and PwC
• Perform compliance testing procedures to ensure company risk is timely mitigated
• Provide assistance in Internal Audits
• Assess and monitor system access rights for segregation of duties conflicts
• Perform special projects as needed
Experience and Competencies Required
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
• Fluent in English (both verbal and written)
• 3-5 years experience in public accounting or 3-5 years in private in an Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) capacity; big 4 experience preferred
• Knowledge of internal controls systems and US GAAP
• Travel 25-50%
