On behalf of our client, an established international bank with global presence, we are currently looking for a Head of Internal Audit to run the Audit Department in Romania.
The role entails leading/ managing the audit department, performing risk based planning of audit engagements and ensuring the overall performance quality of the audit function, by contributing to development of the best practices framework across the group.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and further develop the Internal Audit Function of the Bank
- Act as a team leader for audit teams on different audit engagements
- Perform risk based planning of audit engagements
- Provide team members with guidance, training and assistance
- Ensure the overall performance quality of the Audit Function
Qualification:
- University degree, preferably in Business Studies or Economics
- At least 4 years work experience in auditing (internal or external) within the financial sector, preferably in banking
- Least 2 years coordination experience (senior position or higher)
- Member of the Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania
- ACCA or CIA membership is considered a distinct advantage
