INTERNAL AUDIT DIRECTOR
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will manage a team of 4 people and you will be responsible for all internal auditing activities.
Primary Objective
Implement an organisation-wide strategy for conducting internal audit, plan, direct, and monitor audit activities (operational and financial) at headquarters and branches in order to minimise risk.
Improve the performance and productivity of the organisation’s financial, operational, and managerial processes and systems and ensure that the organisation complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards.
Key activities
Develop, communicate and implement the strategic direction of the audit function.
Develop, evaluate and review audit procedures and standards to ensure that audits are conducted rigorously and consistently.
Evaluate and review all the policies and procedures of the company to ensure that these are rigorously and consistently developed.
Plan, prioritise and manage audit projects. Evaluate audit findings. Prepare audit reports and make recommendations to management about how the organisation’s financial, operational and managerial processes and systems could be improved.
Coordinate projects involving external auditors to ensure that they have appropriate access to information and people within the organisation and to ensure that the organisation receives satisfactory standards of service.
Lead, direct, evaluate and develop the team to ensure that audit activities are conducted to high standards of accuracy, rigour, and credibility and according to relevant regulations and industry standards.
You must meet the following criteria to be eligible for an interview:
- Strong experience in audit practices (minimum 3 years) (experience in FMCG can be an advantage);
- Strong knowledge of the organization’s audit system;
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management and employees;
- Excellent management skills;
- Synthetic and analytic capacity;
- Strategic vision and thinking;
- University degree (MBA can be an advantage);
- Good English knowledge;
- Strong knowledge of MS Office;
