Job purpose

Establish a set of measures that combined to assess the performance of an organization as a whole.
- Understand processes that take place in Physical Distribution (Logistics, Warehouse, Transportation, Customization) area of the business
- Establish a clear set of measures to evaluate these processes
- Ensure proper documentation for the measures is in place and the data can be collected. Establish owners and timings for each measure.
- Deliver trainings for the organization, so that employees understand how the processes that they lead will be measured. Ensure process is known / followed, communicated and that action plans are in place for any gaps
- Drive efficiency within horizontal and vertical processes across departments


Job scope

Physical Distribution area of the Supply Network Operations department
Areas of interest for performance measurement: Logistics, Warehouse, Transportation, Customization, Customer Service Organization (CSO), Distributors & Direct supplied Customers
Internally is in contact with Logistics, Planning, Finance, Distributor / Customer Logistic Team, Purchasing, Customer Business Development (Sales) team.
Externally is in contact with Distributors and P&G Balkans 3rd parties - Customization Contractors, Transport providers and Warehouse management


Key Results/Measures

Understand the concepts behind the design of appropriate performance measures and be able to design such measures
Demonstrate an awareness of the roles of measurement
Robustness of the final outcome of the performance measurement should comply with the below:
The truth test: Is the measures definitely measuring what it's meant to measure?
The focus test: Is the measure only measuring what it's meant to measure?
The consistency test: Is the measure consistent whenever or whoever measures?
The access test: Can the data be readily communicated and easily understood?
The clarity test: Is any ambiguity possible in interpretation of the results?
The so what test: Can the data be acted upon?
The timeliness test: Can the data be analyzed soon enough so that action can be taken?
The cost test: It is worth the cost of collecting and analyzing the data?
The gaming test: Does the measure encourage any undesirable behaviors?
