I. Main Responsibilities

Specific duties
- Support the Field Redevelopment project teams as required:
-ensure compliance with Romanian laws & regulations, European standards and Company philosophies / standards/specifications in all Field Re-Development (FRD) projects
-participate in project technical reviews
-scope of work definition and preparation of tender docs, perform bid reviews
-provide engineering knowledge and expertise during all project phases from pre-feasibility to commissioning & start up
-provide cost and schedule information for budget development and project management data collection from site
- Perform technical studies, reports and memos
- Analyse existing facilities and propose process improvements, de-bottlenecking, upgrades to efficiently decrease operations costs and enhance productivity/efficiency of plants/equipment
- Continuously analyse opportunities for development projects and propose best solution
- Economical evaluation of opportunities proposed
- Review and develop philosophies and specifications in the field of expertise
- Approve key engineering documentation and philosophies, standards and specifications
- Consider and approve / reject as appropriate any request made to deviate from the approved minimum standards
- Provide resources for additional expertise where required
- Manages 3rd party specialist and engineering companies

Industry knowledge
- The jobholder will prove deep knowledge and experience in her/his engineering discipline in Oil & Gas E&P
- Engineering and de-bottlenecking experience for all equipment in a maturate/depleted field environment
- General knowledge of production technology and reservoir management in mature fields
- Have a working knowledge of Romanian regulations and European standards
- Knowledge of relevant standards and good industry practices in instrumentation and automation engineering
- Knowledge of latest developments and proactively introduce new technologies as appropriate to meet Business Unit objectives
- Specialized engineering software knowledge
- Project Management knowledge and experience
- Computer literate, knowledge of Microsoft Office software

Organization
- Keeps contact with industry, suppliers, authorities
- Works in a team of experienced discipline engineers to effectively manage contractors' activities and thereby ensure that company's best interests are safeguarded

Coordination
- Liaise with other discipline engineers to ensure no delays as a result of poor interfacing
- Work in a multidisciplinary team of experienced engineers for development projects
- Liaise with managers in units
- Assists units and coordinates technical issues in instrumentation/automation engineering
- Coordinates data management for activities
- Coordinate project activities with units and third parties as required
- Coordinate supervision for all contractors’ works and guarantee QA/QC for the services/works performed
- Coordinate with FRD project managers and program directors

Reporting
- Reports to line managers
- Direct report to Instrumentation/Automation Engineering Office Manager (disciplinary)
- Reports to Field Redevelopment Program Manager
- Reports on a regular basis on activities, assignments, tasks and projects to the line manager
- Reports on a regular basis on the overall activity
- Reports on any urgent issues with respect to safety, integrity, losses and HSEQ
- Prepares parts of a multidisciplinary team of audit reports etc., related to instrumentation and automation engineering
- Prepare and update, audit, project reports for his field of expertise


CERINTE

Job requirements
- Educational requirements: MSc (Diploma Engineer) in automation engineering
- Minimum of 8 years experience in engineering in Oil & Gas E&P industry. This shall mandatory include experience in the following areas: maturate/depleted fields and reservoir management
- Good knowledge of relevant standards, norms and regulations
- Experienced in conceptual design studies, FEED, detailed design, especially for brown field developments
- Focused work and deliver quick results
- Commissioning and operations experience in upstream oil and gas is an advantage
- General knowledge of production technology and reservoir management is an advantage
- Experience in cost estimation
- Knowledge of the local environment and operations is an advantage
- Experience in project management, construction management
- IT knowledge and experience in relevant engineering software applications
- Networking and communication skills
- Leadership attributes
- Languages minimum requirement: English – intermediate level
