JOB DESCRIPTION
- Evaluate time and work volume for engineering
- Analyze software file to identify potential localization problems
- Create translation kits
- Resize, compile, and debug localized projects (PC)
- Interact with the US engineering department
- Provide technical support for our multilingual personnel
Requirements:
- BS/MS in Computer Science
- Strong knowledge of MS Windows operating systems and development
- Very good knowledge of HTML
- Working knowledge of Visual C/C++, Java, VB
- Familiarity with Perl, XML, JavaScript
- Good verbal and written English communication skills
- Problem-solving capabilities
- Organized, self-starting, pro-active attitude
- Quality and detail oriented
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure
- Team player in a multi-language/multi-cultural environment
- Eligibility for USA visa and willingness to travel abroad for long periods of time (3-6 months)
Plusses:
- Experience directly related to localization/internationalization
- Proficiency with translation memory tools
- Knowledge of other foreign language(s) other than English
- Knowledge of various Mac OS
- Working knowledge of UNIX type of operating systems (Linux, SunOS, FreeBSD)
